Bioethanol research project selected by GreenWin
Prayon's PHOSBIOL2 research project has been selected by GreenWin, the Walloon Region's sixth centre of excellence. The project aims to develop a second-generation bioethanol manufacturing process based on fresh biomass or biomass from waste (for instance, grass intended for composting). So far, bioethanol – a substitute for petrol – has been produced from foodstuffs. The process will use a special grade of phosphoric acid, one of Prayon's flagship products.
