Product quality improvement, cost control and reduction of environmental nuisance are core concerns at the Prayon Research and Development Department.
Prayon's Research and Development Department is a team of highly qualified researchers working in 1,500 m2 of laboratories and testing areas which house all the pilot units required for research and development in the following areas of expertise:
- crystallization and precipitation processes;
- agitation;
- liquid/solid separation;
- drying, calcination and grinding;
- purifying by liquid/liquid extraction;
- pilot-scale testing;
- new separation techniques potentially useful in acid and mineral salt purification.
In these areas too, we rely on the expertise and scientific knowledge of many university laboratories and research centers throughout Europe.
With over half a century of experience in the design of processes for wet-process phosphoric acid production, our Research and Development Department, via our PROFILE and Prayon Technologies Divisions, offers our customers feasibility and/or optimization tests for all projects relating to the utilization of natural phosphates.
