of chemical manufacturing heritage, the Prayon Group has
gained international recognition as a leader in the manufacture
of phosphoric acid, phosphate salts and inorganic fluorides.
Headquartered in Engis, Belgium, Prayon has phosphate manufacturing
facilities in Belgium, France, and the USA and as well as
a joint venture phosphoric acid plant in Morocco.
Prayon also has a number of other joint venture activities
producing sodium hydrosulphite, zinc oxide and detergent
zeolites.
Consolidated group sales are over $500 million and the organization
employs 1400 people worldwide.
Prayon is 50% owned by both the Office Cherifien des Phosphates
(OCP) and SRIW, the regional investment company for the area
of Wallonia, Belgium. OCP is the world's largest rock phosphate
mining company and a major supplier of key raw materials
to the Prayon Group. |
