A WORLDWIDE LEADER IN PHOSPHATE CREATIVITY

PHOSPHORUS

AN

INDISPENSABLEELEMENT

TO

LIFE

Phosphorus, which is present in the hu-

man body in a proportion of about 10 g/

kg, is as indispensable to life as calcium,

nitrogen, carbon, hydrogen and oxygen.

lt is a component of our bones, teeth and

nervous system, as weIl as of the DNA

which transmits our genetic heritage.

Like calcium, phosphorus needs to be

absorbed from an external source, such

as the phosphate salts in food. Better still,

tricalcium phosphates enable calcium

and phosphorus intake to be combined

and improve the nutritional properties of

many products. As for potassium phos-

phate, it enables better control over

dietary sodium intake.

Phosphorus is an integral part of the living

world. Like other elements, it can be found

in various forms in nature. These forms are

balanced and transformed according to a

natural cycle.
