Aluminium metaphosphate (ALMP) is used as an
additive in the manufacture of special types of glass and optical
fibres. This phosphate can also be used as an opacifier in
glass. Sodium tripolyphosphate (STPP) is used as an opacifier
in the glass sector. Fluorine derivatives (NaF, SSF and PSF)
are opacifying agents used in the glass industry.
