WHAT IS A TRAINING SIMULATOR?
Prayon Technologies has leveraged its expertise in processes
and operations to develop a high-performance Operator Training
Simulator (OTS) for the phosphoric acid production process.
Much
like a flight simulator
, the OTS replicates a plant’s behaviour and
operating conditions over time. The simulator mimics real
DCS
graphics
, controls and interlocks, and also incorporates
field
operated devices
(FODs), such as motors, local control panels,
manual valves, visual inspections and sampling.

Training is now much more interactive thanks to simulation
exercises that require users to solve real-life process issues. This
enhances plant operators’ operational skills (understanding of
processes, diagnostic skills and ability to anticipate situations)
