2030 AGENDA FOR SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT
As a major provider of food and plant nutrition solutions, Prayon is committed to helping the United Nations implement its 2030 Agenda, the new global framework striving to eradicate poverty and achieve sustainable development by 2030. The 2030 Agenda includes an ambitious set of 17 Sustainable Development Goals (and 169 targets with indicators to gauge progress) adopted by all 193 UN member states.
Sustainability is an integral part of Prayon's corporate strategy thanks to targeted actions.
Adding the right amount of nutrients at the right time can really maximise crop performance. Our water-soluble fertilisers aim to provide fruit, vegetables, flowers and plants with optimal levels of nutrients in the most efficient way. Prayon also offers targeted advice and specific management tools to help growers to enhance crop yield and quality, which in turn boosts productivity and income.
By providing innovative solutions that can improve plant yields, better preserve food (with solutions specifically targeting fish and seafood as well as meat and poultry) and save energy (by providing lithium iron phosphate for electric vehicle batteries), Prayon contributes to the achievement of many of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals, including:
- Goal 2: End hunger, achieve food security and improved nutrition and promote sustainable agriculture
- Goal 6: Ensure availability and sustainable management of water and sanitation for all
- Goal 12: Ensure sustainable consumption and production patterns
- Goal 13: Take urgent action to combat climate change and its impacts.
We support the pursuit of these goals for a sustainable world through innovative solutions, partnerships and knowledge sharing.
