Assists ESH Manager as needed to maintain safe and healthy workplace by assisting in identifying and anticipating concerns and hazards; developing and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures; conducting studies, investigations and training. Also assists in maintaining compliance with environmental regulations and other Right to Operate requirements.

Assists in ESH compliance by identifying and anticipating environmental, safety and health concerns and hazards by surveying operational and occupational conditions; rendering opinions on equipment and work methods; conducting environmental, health & safety investigations and audits; and recommending preventative programs.
Guides and promotes safe work practices.
Assists personnel in understanding and following environmental, safety and health policies by conducting inspections.
Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and training as applicable.
Assists in maintaining Environmental, Safety and Health records according to governmental regulations and organizational requirements.
Assists in the training of others in ESH compliance.
Understands and follows all organizational policies, procedures, and rules.
Must be able to work in excess of eight hours per day or forty hours per week on any shift or travel as needed. On-call as needed to support 24-hr/7-day per week operational requirements.
Consistently demonstrates prompt, regular, and reliable attendance.
Communicates development goals to immediate supervisor and takes ownership of personal development plan.
Supervisory Responsibilities & Functions
This is a non-supervisory position.; however, the individual will lead and influence site employees to buy-in to the company safety culture.
Ensure your own safety and that of others, apply shared vigilance (both within your area of responsibility and outside it), share prevention-related messages with others and set a good example in all circumstances.
Familiarize yourself with the applicable safety procedures and rules, apply them and enforce them.
Contribute to improving safety in infrastructure, behaviors, and procedures.

Requirements
Language Skills
Reading/comprehension, speaking and writing at required education equivalency level. Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business correspondence, technical/product information, policies/procedures or government regulations. Ability to complete written forms and write routine to complex procedures, reports and correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions in a group or individual setting.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent.
Computer Skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint and other Office 365 applications.
Proficiency in relevant SAP modules preferred
Complexity
The work includes varied duties requiring many different and unrelated processes and methods be applied to a broad range of activities. The work requires both following instructions and originating new techniques, establishing criteria, developing new information and understanding the technical nature of equipment and manufacturing processes.
Physical Demands
The work requires both sedentary and limited physical exertion to include, but not limited to: sitting; walking; standing; traversing stairs; bending; carrying or lifting up to 50 pounds; driving industrial mobile equipment, OTR motor vehicles, etc. Work routinely requires conversational skills such as, speaking and hearing (expression or exchanging ideas by means of spoken words and perceiving sounds by ear). This position requires extensive hands-on type work and includes working shift work and overtime as needed.
Work Environment
The work environment requires normal safety precautions typical of such places as offices, meeting and training rooms, personal or commercial transportation methods, manufacturing and warehousing facilities. Requires use of safe work practices with office equipment, avoidance of trips and falls, observance of fire regulations and traffic signals, etc. Must be able to work in office, manufacturing, and warehousing environments. Manufacturing and warehouse facilities are not climate controlled, and outdoor work in all types of weather conditions is required. May include work that requires special safety precautions such as working around moving parts, carts or machines or with irritant chemicals. Employee will be required to work in protective equipment, such as respirators (air-supplied, air purifying, or dust masks), chemical protective clothing/suits or gowns, coats, safety toed shoes, chemical protective boots, goggles, various gloves, safety glasses and/or shields, as needed.
