One of the products we serve are silicone-based antifoams. Foam formation creates serious technological problems in many physical or chemical processing which involves mixing and agitation of multicomponent liquids. BRB’s antifoam are processing aids that control foam-intensive applications to improve safety and throughput, which give benefits to the final product used by consumers.

BRB Akasil® range of foam control agents is the culmination of 40 years development into siloxane-based technology. The range offers superlative foam-control characteristics to treat susceptible processes and formulations spanning a scope of applications. BRB Akasil® Antifoam range offers materials for use in water and solvent based, alongside solventless systems (in a broad pH range). All pack formats are catered for and we can assist best practices in terms of cost efficient dosing.

The antifoams can be used in different markets such as agro-chemicals, food/feed, construction chemicals, adhesives and sealants, paint & coatings and many more.

Silicone Antifoam ADP 300

One of the newest developed antifoams is BRB’s Akasil® ADP 300, which is a low viscosity silicone antifoam compound with an active content of 100%. It is a highly effective silicone antifoam compound which has been developed specifically for non-aqueous systems.

Akasil® ADP 300 has an effective foam control record at low concentration in the following applications: Electrical/Electronic coating, Chemical industries (adhesives, resin polymerization, etc.), Petroleum processing (gas scrubbing, glycol unit, etc.) and it is used for formulating Antifoam emulsions. It offers the following features:

–         Excellent antifoaming properties

–         Good durability

–         Outstanding reliability and versatility
