Our Global Sustainability Report is now available online!
We are delighted to present Prayon’s second global sustainability report, reflecting our commitment to leading the way towards sustainability and circularity in phosphorus chemistry.
This report introduces new features such as stakeholder mapping and a materiality matrix, demonstrating our strong commitment to transparency and the commitment of everyone to sustainable practices.
In this edition, we take a significant step forward by analyzing seven new pillars in order to assess the progress we have made in pursuing each of our 21 goals. Our initiatives underscore our group’s determination to address societal challenges, reduce our environmental footprint, and maintain competitiveness.
Prayon has been a forerunner in the circular economy for almost 50 years. More than 25% of our raw materials come from secondary sources and we recover more than 80% of our by-products, consisting mainly of gypsum. Our “wet process”, invented by Prayon and deployed at more than 50% of the world’s phosphoric acid plants, has a carbon footprint up to seven times smaller than that of other production processes. This underscores our historic commitment to improving our environmental impact.
