Prayon unveils its new Global Sustainability Report, showcasing commitment to circularity in phosphorus chemistry.

Engis, September 5th: Prayon, an international player in phosphorus chemistry, launches its new Global Sustainability Report, reflecting its commitment as a socially responsible company to leading the way towards circularity.

This comprehensive report outlines the company’s ongoing commitment to environmental responsibility, social impact, and ethical business practices. It introduces new features such as stakeholder mapping and a materiality matrix, demonstrating transparency and a collaborative approach with all stakeholders.

This report highlights:

  • Leading role in the development of phosphorus circular economy:
    • Over a quarter of its raw materials coming from secondary sources;
    • Recovery of more than 80% of its by-products, consisting mainly of gypsum.
  • Contribution to address climate change:
    • Sustainable production process emitting up to 7 times less CO2 compared to other thermal processes;
    • -8.5% CO2 emissions in 2022.
  • Providing qualitative work to local workforce (94% of staff living in the vicinity).

Its initiatives underscore the Group’s determination to address societal challenges, reduce its environmental footprint, and maintain competitiveness. “This report is an inspiration for the future.
